Outcomes
Over the two year period planned for the Waste
Minimisation Project, a variety of activities have been planned to produce
outputs that will be useful for participating companies in each industry
sector.
Those outputs will include the following:
- Specific Waste Reduction Projects, that will be planned by participating
companies and managed by the AMC, on behalf of each Industry Group.
- Supply Chain projects which will involve a broader network of manufacturers,
distributors, service organisations and regulators in addressing industry
waste reduction needs.
- Individual company assistance programs, where the participating organisations
is prepared to initiate a waste reduction program that can serve as
a case study.
- Detailed environment/waste management audits in each industry sector
to act as a blueprint for participants.
- A Waste Audit Manual for application by each industry, to allow for
constant and consistent monitoring of industry achievement in waste
minimisation.
- Technology Awareness Programs, involving local and visiting experts
to ensure that Industry Groups identify and have access to the resources
necessary for developing project solutions.
- Technology Dissemination Workshops in each industry group to extend
information and technology base within industries.
