Program Outcomes

Over the two year period planned for the Waste Minimisation Project, a variety of activities have been planned to produce outputs that will be useful for participating companies in each industry sector.

Those outputs will include the following:

  1. Specific Waste Reduction Projects, that will be planned by participating companies and managed by the AMC, on behalf of each Industry Group.
  2. Supply Chain projects which will involve a broader network of manufacturers, distributors, service organisations and regulators in addressing industry waste reduction needs.
  3. Individual company assistance programs, where the participating organisations is prepared to initiate a waste reduction program that can serve as a case study.
  4. Detailed environment/waste management audits in each industry sector to act as a blueprint for participants.
  5. A Waste Audit Manual for application by each industry, to allow for constant and consistent monitoring of industry achievement in waste minimisation.
  6. Technology Awareness Programs, involving local and visiting experts to ensure that Industry Groups identify and have access to the resources necessary for developing project solutions.
  7. Technology Dissemination Workshops in each industry group to extend information and technology base within industries.
