Wood Industry Group - Manager Profile

John Brooks has worked as a consultant and consultant manager in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong and Indonesia.

In September 1988, he formed his own consulting practice, specialising in strategic profit improvement of commercial organisations and strategic planning for Federal, State and Local government. He is a Director of the Proteus Management Group specialising in regional and industry strategy.

He is a Committee member and Fellow of The Warren Centre in the Engineering School of the University of Sydney, an Associate of the Advanced Manufacturing Centre at the Australian Technology Park.

In the current Waste Minimisation Program, he is the Coordinator of the Wood Products Group and leads the AMC group to developing the Waste Reduction Manual to guide management in the process of reducing waste in ways that are both profitable and environmentally responsible.
