Manufacturing
Systems & Softwares
Integrated Manufacturing Systems are focused on providing a manufacturing
presence and a program environment for the Manufacturing sectors, starting
from basic and applied research, covering entire spectrum of the manufacturing
process together with the impact of the technologies of automation,
robotics, CAD, CAM, CIM and Artificial Intelligence, and technology
transfer in areas of common interest related to modern manufacturing
systems and technologies.
Basically, manufacturing process begins with the product design and
proceeds through process and facilities planning, scheduling and operations
management, part fabrication, material handling, product assembly, quality
assurance, and testing. Applied Hardware and Software are necessity,
crucial.
Mission of the IMS is to provide multi-disciplinary level of manufacturing
systems in theory and practice of integrated manufacturing systems engineering
to conduct basic and applied research leading to the development of
advanced modern manufacturing system technology, through interactive
technology transfer based on research and industrial applications, applying
traditional engineering and computer.
To simplify and cover part of this huge area, we can point that some
manufacturing applied technologies and softwares are available through
the AMC:
1. Integrated Manufacturing Softwares, as like SDRC (I-DEAS and Methaphase),
2. Manufacturing Control Systems, i.e. Orbit 9000,
3. Manufacturing technologies related to NC&CNC Applied Technologies,
4. Technical Computation, Data Analizis & Visualisation Software,
as well Simulation Modeling of processes.
