Industry Sustainability Initiative (ISI)

Pilot Program

The Pilot ISI Program was commenced in September 2001 through a select group of businesses which were successful in the Global Excellence Awards of the Western Sydney Industry Awards, comprising: Thales Underwater Systems, Advanced Power, Zone Products, Australian Winch and Haulage, Futuris Brakes International, Panthers World of Entertainment and Vinidex.

Their experiences, detailed in the case studies section, demonstrate that the ISI is an effective mechanism to spark the cultural shift that leads to more sustainable business practices. In the short time since joining the program, many of these companies are already reaping significant paybacks from their initiatives.
