Industry Sustainability Initiative (ISI)

The Industry Sustainability Initiative (ISI) developed through the Western Sydney Environment Taskforce aims to help businesses make significant savings by improving their environmental performance.

The ISI works with clusters of businesses, offering expert advice on how to improve their bottom line as well as their environmental performance through sustainability initiatives in areas including: using less resources (eg. energy, water, raw materials); reducing waste; minimising pollution; and product stewardship.

ISI participants undertake a series of workshops through which they receive expert advice on developing and implementing Sustainability Improvement Plans at their premises.

The project is facilitated by the Advanced Manufacturing Centre and the Office of Western Sydney on behalf the Western Sydney Environment Taskforce, with support through the Environment Protection Authority's Cleaner Production Industry Partnership Program, as well as member organisations.
