The Hunter Region of NSW is undergoing rapid change as it moves from being a region centred on steel making to one with a greater capacity to service the transport and mining industry. Discussions with groups of manufacturers confirm their support for a program bringing them together to establish their technology needs and to develop systems for integrating design, manufacturing and construction in the region to become internationally competitive.
