Benefits

An important spin-off from a Community Outreach Program is that it can create a new sense of environmental responsibility across a company including management who may previously have regarded it as only a regulatory compliance issue.

The project will encourage companies to link their Community Outreach Programs to the wide range of educational and training initiatives developed by other environmental groups. Also by working together as a group of companies we will learn and share innovative ideas and approaches that each company will bring to the process.

Community Oureach has the potential to make a major contribution to environmental improvement in Australia. The multiplier effect and sharing of knowledge will become increasingly evident when the program is transferred to other industry sectors impacting communities throughout Australia
