Textiles, Clothing, Footwear and Leather(TCFL)
Industry Focus Group

There are over 2242 TCF&L companies in NSW which employ more than 10% of the total employment in manufacturing.

The TCF&L Focus Group was initiated in May 1999 with the objective of finding a solution to help the TCF&L Industry to become internationally competitive by overcoming tax barriers on imported products from the Asia Pacific region. The members of the group relied on the expected benefits from the Strategic Investment Program (SIP) issued at the end of 1999 by the Federal Government. The members established a number of projects which collapsed due to financial hardships and therefore the group was terminated in Nov 1999.
